A visit
to the New York Aquarium is an opportunity to glimpse the
creatures of the undersea ecosystem. Featured exhibits include
the Beluga whales, the Shark Tank, Dolphin shows and the
Cold-Water Marine Gallery. Visitors will marvel at the grace
and lethal speed of the sharks, the unusual giant spider
crabs, Pacific octopus and thousands of exotic fish.
The
larger marine animals like the Beluga whales, harbor and
gray seals, penguins, sharks and Nuka, a Pacific walrus,
are fed daily to the delight of spectators. From May to
September, dolphins and sea lions perform in the Aqua theater.

opera through projected translations of the text, called
super titles.

on the Green, a nearby restaurant, offers dinner and opera
packages with orchestra seats. Plot synopsis, the composer's
biography and background information can be obtained free
of charge.

Avery Fisher Hall is the home of the New York Philharmonic
Orchestra. This is one of the world's finest concert halls.
It caters to international performers, ensembles and chamber
orchestras from around the world. Please inquire for schedules
and prices. When the weather cooperates, the performance
at Lincoln Center begin with your walk across its plaza
to one of the center's entrances. With fountains and sculpture
as a backdrop, visitors may enjoy the efforts of street
mimes, dancers, jugglers, and musicians.
Those
who attend a performance inside join the more than 50 million
people who do so each year. The modern building complex
was completed in 1969 at the cost of $185 million dollars.
